Japanese Language Proficiency Tests There are four ability levels offered; JLPT 1, 2, 3 4 |

You will need to have a good level of Japanese or be prepared to commit several months to your studies in order to reach the necessary standard to sit any of these exams, for more information, just ask.
Students who wish to take the JLPT Level 1 exam are advised that from complete beginner level they would need to study in Japan for between 12 to 18 months. Obviously a variety of factors will affect your progress, including your level on arrival, previous linguistic background, and personal focus/motivation. The college tutors will do all they can to support and guide you in your efforts to reach your goal.
We would recommend you attend the Academic Year or Intensive courses in Okazaki or the JLPT courses in Fukuoka, in order to achieve a sufficiently well rounded language education prior to the exams. The Standard Programmes are not designed to cover the syllabus required for the JLPT exams.
